About me:

My name is Ammar Yaser.
I am a certified native Arabic speaker with a great passion for teaching my language and the Qurʾān to non-native Arabic students. Currently, I am a fresh graduate of the famous Al-Azhar University, Faculty of languages and translation, Department of Islamic studies in English.

Arabic language:

While I am specialised in Islamic Studies, I can be flexible with the demands of my students and I can easily adapt to teach Arabic for various purposes such as classical, MSA, or academic Arabic, modern Arabic media, and Egyptian dialect. My students like to say that I have strong patience and an encouraging approach in teaching. I have studied the depths of Arabic grammar in Al-Azhar for 6 years. It made me qualified to teach Arabic to university students, children and professionals (Beginners, Intermediate, Advanced). While I am specialised in Arabic grammar (naḥw, ṣarf, balāgha) I do not overload my students with grammatical structures but I teach them in a way that my students master the language enjoyably and easily. My interactive style of teaching in (online) classrooms makes my students feeling comfortable that they easily participate in discussions. Every student for me is special and I consider teaching as my personal responsibility in helping you on the path of learning my beloved language.

The Qurʾān:

I have an ijāza in the recitation of ʿĀṣim with both of his two narrators Ḥafṣ and Shuʿba. My method of teaching tajwīd (the rules of recitation) has been proven through online teaching as just in one year of regular classes I was able to teach many students from zero knowledge to correct and smooth reading of the Qurʾān. Upon your request, I will create a personalised plan for you or your kids for memorisation, tajwīd, taṣḥīḥ (reading correction). I cordially invite you to start learning with me!

In addition, I have worked as an adjunct English instructor for a year which makes me eligible to teach English. I also have a certification in the forty Ḥadīths of Imam Al-Nawawi.
I will select our teaching materials following your level, for example, we may use some of these books:
• Nūr Al-Bayān
• Gateway to Arabic
• Bayna Yadeyk
• al-Kitāb
• al-Takallum
•Almadinah
and so many books.
-I can teach you fiqh according to the shafi’i madhhab.
